Welcome to Prideland Kennel! Located in upstate New York, we are a full service kennel, offering beautiful and healthy, lovingly raised English Springer Spaniels. Over the past five years we have been working to build our English Springer Spaniel lines, and have future plans of developing an American Cocker line. Here at Prideland, we stand committed to our canines and our customers. Over the years as your pup grows and matures, we will stay in touch with you. Before leaving for it's new home, we will provide your pup with a very solid foundation, one that will allow your pup to become a calm, healthy and well balanced companion. By phone or email, or in person by appointment we will be available to answer your questions. We gladly offer assistance with training, advice on nutrition and basic grooming. Prideland Kennel also provides short term boarding with advance reservations, with outdoor play and training opportunities for your canine. We offer grooming services, nutritional assessments and suggest appropriate food and supplements, which are available at wholesale cost on a pre-order basis. 
We are committed to maintaining the highest breed standards possible through ongoing review of our breeding stock and their progeny. This includes soundness and temperament assessments as well as complete medical testing. Our dogs are preliminarily tested at age one, and then fully tested a second time after reaching two years of age. We also evaluate our dogs’ dispositions, intelligence and conformation, in addition to their physical well being. We strive to become as knowledgeable as possible in matters relating to canine wellness and the genetic choices we make when breeding our litters. By seeking professional opinions of other breeders, handlers, trainers and veterinarians, we work diligently to maintain overall health and disposition as we move closer to our goal of an excellent breed standard. We perform hip and elbow x-rays (OFA) and we also have Canine Eye Registry Foundation Exam's (CERF) done by a certified ophthalmologists. The dogs have DNA testing for PFK and PRA, EKG's and full blood work done including brucellosis testing, prior to being used in our breeding program. 
But just as important as the beauty and health of our dogs, is their disposition. Our bloodlines have consistently produced calm, obedient, highly intelligent, easily trained and versatile canine companions that become an integral part of your family and daily life. As comfortable with you in your city apartment as they are in the field, actively flushing and retrieving. It is important to mention whether you decide to purchase a pup from us or not, that one should always spend some time with the dam, and if possible the sire of a litter. Be sure to assess their dispositions and interactions with other humans and animals. All of the dogs we use for breeding must have very solid dispositions, are gentle with children and socially correct with other animals. When planning litters, we look for bloodlines that have also demonstrated their abilities by earning titles in conformation, agility, rally, tracking and field events, as well as companion dogs with AKC Canine Good Citizen Awards and Therapy Dog Certifications. We look forward to working with the offspring of several upcoming litters as we begin to title our own dogs.
